Call of Duty 2 is my first expierence with FPS’s on the Xbox 360, and damn, for a first generation game on this new console, it’s really fucking beautiful. Unless you’ve spent over a grand on a PC in the last six months, these graphics look better than anything else you’re playing on. The game itself is classic Call of Duty-style play, with single and multi-player missions set in the more famous WWII-era settings. Whether its Africa or Germany, Egypt or Russia, the enviornments are plentiful and great looking. Game AI fluxuates from typical to infuriating; especially amazing is the computers ability to target grenades to land between your feet. Where the game really accells is the multiplayer, especially if you have four controllers and a big screen. When you have this setup, expect trouble getting rid of your friends. This has to be the funnest multiplayer since Golden Eye on the Nintendo 64. With a decent single player and the most excellent multiplayer (a bit laggy online, but still worthy) Call of Duty 2 is a must buy.
