Review: The Riverboat Gamblers

The Riverboat Gamblers
“Something to Crow About”
(Gearhead)

The Riverboat Gamblers are hard rockin’, Texan party-punk.  No frills, no tricks, no politics, just turn it up to eleven and get silly.  This is like a Southern-fried soundtrack to a re-make of Animal House.  I’ll bet these guys can do kegstands and pickslides at the same time.  I’ll bet these guys can bong beers while doing synchronized, scissor-kick leaps across the stage.  Maybe like the Murder City Devils without the menace or Rocket From the Crypt without the classic pop.  If you’re just looking for a good time you’ll be in good company here.  Fans of ex-FYP band Toys That Kill, the Hellacopters or Tight Bros From Way Back check them out.
