Review: Deadfood

Deadfood
““Weird Feelings””
(Insect Eater Records)

Dark and creepy sounds that would make John Carpenter think about digitally re-mastering the Halloween soundtrack. Well produced and engineered, this CD takes a trip through odd visions and raw emotions glued together by off time piano, pounding guitars and abnormal rhythmic patterns. This album recorded in Deadfood’’s home is a powerful sophomore effort. When most bands dig around for material, Deadfood has opened doors to the mind that most would have chosen to remained closed. Original and weird but not annoying. Refreshing but not ground breaking.
