The Unicorns
“The Unicorns: 2014”
(Suicide Squeeze Records)

From the looks of their current roster, the folks at Suicide Squeeze seem to definitely know what is good music these days. Especially when so much of the stuff floating around out there is nothing but ill-conceived crap. These three young lads from Montreal have been making quit a bit of commotion in the underground since releasing their debut album, “Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone?” last year to critical acclaim. Not ones to rest on their laurels, The Unicorns decided to release “The Unicorns: 2014” to satiate their fans here in America, Canada and the world over. Originally written several years ago when they were still in college, the demo version of which can be found on the CD EP, and only on the CD EP! Also available on this release is the touching b-side “Emasculate The Masculine” which has a distinct and familiar melody akin to the theme song from the blockbuster films Arthur, and Arthur 2: On The Rocks. If that isn’t reason enough to go out and buy this album, you must be on crack.
