There’s something irresistible about big hooky choruses. At one point you think they’ll never get old and the next your beaten over the head by 100 bands doing the same kind of melodic emo-rock thing. I’m not quite sure where to put Brave Saint Saturn just yet. Sure, they’re good at creating poppy, acoustic emo-ballads, but then again so are the 50 other bands that do the same thing! One thing Brave Saint Saturn have in their corner is the fact that their album is chock full of ear candy that manages to make repeated listening a little bit easier. You can definitely do a lot worse than this CD, but it’s not ground breaking material either.
