So I’m in line to buy my tickets for “Jackass the Movie” the other weekend.  “Three for Jackass,” I tell the high school chump behind the glass screen.  “Sure.  Can I see some ID?”  He asks.  I’m twenty-four goddam years old.  My friends sure thought it was funny.  The movie was funny, too.  And the soundtrack is good.

Besides The Ramones “California Sun” and The Misfits “Hybrid Moments” there are a lot of quality tracks on here that you’ve probably never heard before but perfectly compliment the reckless and freewheeling nature of the movie.

Both “Somebody’s Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In” by The Rezillos and “Flesh Into Gear” by CKY feature aggression boiled down into massive riffs and thundering choruses.  CKY’s offering serves up enough melodies to keep things from getting monotonous while still ensuring heaviness reigns supreme.

Toss in a little Slayer doing “Angel of Death”, the Minutemen’s “Corona” (better known as “The Jackass Theme Song”) and assorted tracks by Andrew W.K., Detroit Cobras, and Roger Alan Wade and you’ve got yourself a rip-roaring good time.  Just don’t try any of the stunts at home.  But if you do, make sure to videotape them and send them to Modern Fix so we can laugh at your stupid ass.
