Incite drop brutal new track, “Stagnant”

This is Phoenix, AZ based Incite.

Heavy ass thrashy groove metal.

It seems obligatory to mention singer Richie Cavalera. If that last name looks familiar to metal fans, it’s because he is the stepson of Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Nailbomb, Soulfly).

The whole, “Apple doesn’t fall far from tree…’ wisdom definitely applies here.

The thrash roots are easy to spot, but they are woven into more ambitious attempts at finding deep flows of movement underneath the crushing walls of riffs. While they don’t invent the wheel of metal, they do a fine job cruising along the heavily scarred path shown clearly to them by their predecessors.

The band has an EP, 2007’s “Divided We Fall”, and three full lengths, “The Slaughter” (2009), “All Out War” (2012), and “Up In Hell” (2014).

Incite are gearing up for the release of their fourth full length, “Oppression” sometime in 2016 on minus HEAD Records.

To whet the appetites, check the blistering, “Stagnant”

The band has a European tour planned with Cancer Bats and then in support of King Parrot and Soulfly.
