Review: Welcome To Your Life

Welcome To Your Life
““there’s no turning back””
(Indecision Records)

This album is very good.  I would say this is metal (as opposed to hardcore) because of the chord structures and the dark and dismal growling.  I don’t know why, but I find myself trying to say this sounds like Carcass, but shit I don’t remember.  I think “there is no turning back” belongs in about 1990 in terms of validity and sound.  My friend cut off his long hair after he stopped listening to metal.  He kept his bright blue locks and still keeps them in a plastic bag under his bed.  Although he doesn’t look at his hair everyday I imagine he does every once in a while.  That’s kind of like this album, it reminds you of the past and how cool it was, but you don’t really want to go back and do it again.  It’s so hard to be negative towards a band that obviously is very talented and is good at what they do.  After hearing so much music of this nature Welcome To Your Life sounds a little bland.
