Review: The Toasters

The Toasters
““Enemy of the System””
(Asian Man)

A new third-wave styled ska album might sound about as appealing to you as bucket of rotten bananas, but let’s face it:  the Toasters have been around a DAMN long time and they aren’’t clueless fadchasers, but a group who has helped to found and shape the whole ska revival in the United States.  Their latest release finds them in fine form and offers 12 pieces of fun, classic, Chicago blues/R+B flavored 2-tone.  Although many of the weaker bands who were just around for ska’s season in the spotlight have come and gone, the Toasters still continue honing their craft and doing what they love for the people who still love it.
