Review: Stranger By The Day

Stranger By The Day
“The Death of Apathy”
(Uprising)

Who can resist a cover of two females and a knife? Cool cover aside, Stranger By the Day specialize in screamo/new hardcore that the likes of Boys Night Out, Funeral For a Friend and Silverstein have perfected. There is a good trade off between the aggressive vocals and the pop like voice that carries the songs melodies. Although there is some solid hardcore laid down, Stranger By The Day aren’t anything we haven’t all heard before. Despite that flaw, “The Death Of Apathy” is still a solid release, that 10 other bands have done way better. One thing is for sure they made a good decision to put attractive women on the cover because these guys are ugly as hell.
