Review: Via Audio

Via Audio
“Self-Titled EP”
(Kill Normal Records)

Via Audio’s new EP spins and twirls in a dancey, trance-like state.  Each song is like its own individual lullaby comprised of soft guitars, hints of percussion, wandering keyboards, and hushed vocals that soar to the sky during the climaxes – which can find all the instruments building to an awakening peak.  Not necessarily following predictable paths, each song plots its own course before smoothly melting into the next.  Likely a perfect cure for insomnia, Via Audio has drawn comparisons to Death Cab for Cutie, the Postal Service, and Rocking Horse Winner.
