Somehow I’ve heard of these guys before, but I just can’t remember where. Short-term memory loss is caused by what again? S.T. Monroe may be fooling you with their name that sounds like a U.S. battleship, but they actually are not a bad outfit. I think it is painstakingly obvious that they are a new band and need to spend some serious time exploring themselves. Their sound is a mixture of light jazz overtones with sarcastic vocals (whatever that means) and weird keyboards. For some reason I want to say these guys are weekend warriors when it comes to music, but hey I don’t have all the facts. Look for S.T. Monroe to grow or blow in the coming years.
