{"id":42861,"date":"2016-10-21T15:02:14","date_gmt":"2016-10-21T20:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.modernfix.com.php72-4.lan3-1.websitetestlink.com\/?p=35095"},"modified":"2016-10-21T15:02:14","modified_gmt":"2016-10-21T20:02:14","slug":"hear-entire-new-korn-album-serenity-suffering-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/modernfix.com\/music\/hear-entire-new-korn-album-serenity-suffering-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Hear the entire new Korn album, &#8220;The Serenity of Suffering&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/iprobablyhateyourband.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Korn.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for new korn 2016\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>ARRRRRRRRRRRREEEE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REAAAAAAAAAAAAAADY????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; for a new Korn album?<\/p>\n<p>Korn doesn&#8217;t care, because they are going to release another album anyway.<\/p>\n<p>This will be album no. 12 (yeah, I didn&#8217;t realize they dropped that many either) for the group that started out in Bakersfield, CA in 1993 and somehow become\u00a0one of the bands that ushered in, for better or worse, the era of &#8216;nu-metal&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Entitled, &#8220;The Serenity of Suffering&#8221; the album\u00a0released on October 21, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/assets.blabbermouth.net.s3.amazonaws.com\/media\/kornserenitycdcover.jpg\" alt=\"kornserenitycdcover\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Some members have left, some have left and come back, a couple have stayed for the whole ride.<\/p>\n<p>The current roster on this album is:<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Davis \u2013 lead vocals, bagpipes (1993\u2013present), drums (2006-2007)<br \/>\nJames &#8220;Munky&#8221; Shaffer \u2013 guitars (1993\u2013present), backing vocals (2005\u2013present)<br \/>\nReginald &#8220;Fieldy&#8221; Arvizu \u2013 bass (1993\u2013present)<br \/>\nBrian &#8220;Head&#8221; Welch \u2013 guitars, backing vocals (1993\u20132005, 2013\u2013present)<br \/>\nRay Luzier \u2013 drums, percussion (2007\u2013present)<\/p>\n<p>Founding member and vocalist Jonathan Davis commented on how the title\u00a0reflects a strange comfort he finds in feeling bad:<\/p>\n<h3><em>&#8220;I feel like sometimes I&#8217;m in that place so much, I feel serenity when I&#8217;m there,&#8221; he said. &#8220;That&#8217;s where I feel comfortable, when I&#8217;m down.
