‘We Are Twisted F***ing Sister!’ band documentary has been released

That lovely group of trannies musicians was Twisted Sister in their younger years.

Starting way back in 1973, the group was designed, as vocalist Dee Snider says, “to overwhelm an audience.”

In the 70’s… that apparently meant to raid your mother’s wardrobe and play an obnoxiously simple, yet amazingly infectious brand of this new thing that the kids were all getting into… ‘Heavy Metal’. \||/  \||/

Said genre would go on to explode during the 80’s, carrying this hard-working Long Island, NY group of degenerates to the top with their made for MTV anthems, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock”.

The story of Twisted Sister is an epic tale that mere words could only vaguely capture, so we turn to director Andrew Horn and his extensive documentary, “We Are Twisted F***ing Sister”.

“We’re Not Gonna Take It” – (made in that glorious period during the early-mid 80’s, when videos came with ‘story lines’. This one features actor Mark Metcalf, best known as the sadistic Neidermeyer from the movie National Lampoon’s “Animal House” ).

If you were 13 in 1983, this was your favorite video. Period.

“I Wanna Rock” – (the spiritual successor to the previous video, and also giving the answer to every metal kid’s most important question, “What do you want to do with your life?!”)
