This is Dope.
The Chicago band formed in the late 90’s, imprinted in the shadow of Marilyn Manson, the band’s sound was bred from that aggro industrial mechanical metal that Ministry decimated the world with… also from Chicago.
Member changes, label switches, multiple albums later… now 2016 sees a classic line-up ready to promote a new album (their 6th) that releases Oct 28th called, “Blood Money Part 1”.
The latest teaser comes in the form of a lyric video titled, ‘1999’. I know Price has died and everything, but it’s a little soon to be taking the titles of his songs like he ain’t gonna be needin’ them anymore… ammi-right?
Anyway, singer and heart of the band, Edsel Dope comments: “After much anticipation, the release date for “Blood Money” is finally upon us … We’ve already dropped three full-length music videos and today we are dropping a lyric video for the song ‘1999.’ I anticipate that this song will be one of the fan favorites off the new record.”
Here is the title track, “Blood Money”
