News: Taste of Metal Series Featuring Brian Tsao, 1st Episode Streaming

Celebrity chef Brian Tsao is collaborating with popular metal website Metal Injection to launch Taste of Metal, a five part first season series which will feature Zakk Wylde, Jesse Leach and Adam D. of Killswitch Engage, Johan Hegg of Amon Amarth, John Lamacchia of Candiria, and Ben Weinman of Dillinger Escape Plan and how their music inspired his cooking.

Tsao was born in Queens, NY and is a lifelong metal fan. He currently works as an executive chef at Manhattan’s Mira Sushi and Brooklyn’s Kimono. He lived in China at age 15, learning the language and became the guitarist of the country’s first touring thrashcore band. This allowed him to travel the country and learn about the cuisine of
each region’s specialties.

He appeared on Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay in March 2014, and challenging him in a taco battle and won with his Beef Bulgogi Tacos, becoming the sole chef to beat Flay the entire season.
