Fleshgrind
““The Seeds of Abysmal Torment””
(Olympic Recordings)

Some times a band does can be make really good albums without being original or over the top, they just do what they do well. The grinding and pummeling new CD, The Seeds of Abysmal Torment, by Fleshgrind is precisely that.  It’s a hesher’’s delight, delivering excellent death metal that is both brutal and melodious.  Fleshgrind is part of the body of death metal bands that have remained uncompromising with there sound even after the revolution that black metal brought on.  This, there third full length, is more reminiscent of 1993, when death metal was in full swing.  So as one might suspect, there is nothing here that you haven’t heard before; making The Seeds of Abysmal Torment a little on the monotonous side if your tastes have move on since 95 or so.  Yet, if you have those moments when you like a steaming pile straight up death metal, Fleshgrind is sure to please.
