Review: The Crumbs

The Crumbs
“Self Titled”
(Recess Records)

Like a college band struggling with identity and focus, Crumbs has the potential but drops short of it’s goal, which is? Probably a mix of altrock and pop punk. Mostly hurting by the sappy 4th string vocals, tracks like Save the Drama(for your moma) don’t help at all. Track seven, out of range, is a surprisingly good track, again, aside from the hurting vocals. Mayhaps a bad recording session, but nevertheless, it doesn’t make up for the rest of the CD. One thing, they have a solid band; this isn’’t their experiment album, and the music stays on the same course throughout this 12 song release.
