Review: The Velvet Teen

The Velvet Teen
““Immorality””
(Pandacide)

This is a wonderful indie rock record from The Velvet Teen.  Of all the records I’ve recently come into possession of this is my favorite besides Death Cab For Cutie’s “Kaleidoscope.”  “Immorality” is characterized by sad and beautiful guitars with excellent high pitched vocals reminiscent of Thom Yorke in his most vulnerable moments.  This is also a beautiful multi-colored vinyl with some great art on the record.  Look for The Velvet Teen to take the underground indie rock scene by storm.
