Review: The Glasspack

The Glasspack
“Bridgeburner”
(Small Stone Records)

I am wearing a shirt right now that says, “World’s Greatest Grandpa” that I got for 99 cents.  ‘Where does one get killer deals like that?’ you’re probably asking yourself.  Omaha.  Besides having Shelley Novak (world’s cutest girl), Omaha also has the world’s best thrift stores.  If that doesn’t sound like the world’s perfectest vacation, I don’t know what does.  “Bridgeburner” would make a nice addition to those wonderful thrift stores in South Omaha (where I barfed from eating sushi), because it is quite possibly the world’s sludgiest rock album, fit only to gather dust on a dark rack between Steppenwolf 8-tracks and some Barry Manilow LPs.
