Review: The Distance

The Distance
“Your Closest Enemies”
(Bridge Nine)

Time for a little hardcore courtesy of The Distance.  These guys don’t go for the growling, grrr-hardcore that seems to be so prevalent these days, opting instead for a more Mad Ball flavored approach with rapid fire vocals spit over the trusty chords you know and love.  While it may not score a ton of points in the originality category, “Your Closest Enemies” impresses with its straightforward honesty.  While clocking in at just a hair over eight minutes, this EP crams enough passion and intensity than most bands are able to manage on a “Greatest Hits” LP.
