Review: Star of Ash

Star of Ash
““iter.viator””
(Jester Recordings)

You know how sometimes you see those French or Asian films and just can’t seem to figure out what is going on despite the subscripts at the bottom.  Sometimes I feel like it is a different species when I watch those sort of movies.  Well Star of Ash gives me that kind of feeling.  It’s truly unbeknownst to me what the hell they are trying to do with this album.  Come on, stringed instruments with a lonesome female voice and prerecorded stuff about God and his propensity.  I need a turtle neck sweater and a half pound of cocaine.  I hope the artists never read this though because I’m sure what they meant was much deeper than this.  Europeans really get behind their musicians, but I got to give credit where credit is due.  It’s like a mad scientist with a synth. Sorry.
