Review: Nocturnal Rites

Nocturnal Rites
““New World Messiah””
(Century Media)

Nocturnal Rites do what they know how to do on the fast-paced, double bass driven New World Messiah.  Hailing from the same hometown in Sweden as Refused (some trivia ammunition for you), and coming across the Atlantic Ocean at you, Nocturnal Rites make their presence once again felt on their sixth album in their ten years together.  Howling vocals and the tag team of piercing guitar harmonies and solos are in abundance, not to mention lightning-fast keyboards.  New World Messiah produces the expected sound much like NR’s Century Media label mates.
