Informatik is a techno / house trio headed by Da5id (not a typo) Din. As you might expect from an album called “Nymphomatik,” and you might infer from song titles like “Flesh Menagerie,” “Physical Education,” and “Built For Pleasure,” there’s an amorous theme here. Anyway, the music thumps along pleasantly enough (the liner notes courteously include the BPM count for each song), treading the fertile ground between Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” and Bloodhound Gang’s “The Bad Touch.” Surprisingly, Mr. Din’s lyrics are pretty decent, as he manages to avoid the laughable cheesiness that “The Bad Touch” aped so well. “Nymphomatik” is a respectable effort, even if it does lose something when it’s not played in a crowded warehouse.
