Review: He Who Corrupts

He Who Corrupts
“Ten Steps To Success”
(Self-Released)

Let me tell you, grind-core is not the greatest way to start your morning.  Of course that is arguable amongst fans.  He Who Corrupts is what most grind-core bands sound like.  Blast beats abound, screaming/grunting vocals, hyper speed guitars, and clicky rumbling bass.  Of course there are slow breakdowns which lead back into the warp speed attacks, and as is so popular with this genre of music, movie samples.  Just to go for some originality a grind-core band should do something like jazz verses with grind-core choruses.  Or maybe blast beat disco.  My point is that there is a lack of originality going on in this scene, and it gets more and more redundant all the time.
