Review: Gore Gore Girls

Gore Gore Girls
“Up All Night”
(Get Hip Recordings)

The three ladies that are the Gore Gore Girls serve up lickety-split garage rock with a warm bass line rousing group vocals. Psych rock that you can dance to, “Up All Night” is a hot platter that mixes in smart R&B. This is best exemplified in the handclap, organ and drum rhythms to their take on “I Don’t Think So,” made famous by The Shirelles. Easily accessible, there is true pop style in the killer hooks and upbeat delivery here.
