Garrison
“The Silhouette”
(Revelation)

I’m not sure if I like these guys: 1) Because of the brilliant parentheses in their first song title, “Come On Die Young (No Seriously),” 2) Or because they’ve got a firm grasp on ass-churning punk rock 3) Or because they smoke Foo Fighters like a pack of Newports when it comes heavy, melodic power-pop rock. Gotta dig the arena muscle of “God is not on our Side.”  A five-song EP, the album isn’t without its bullshit experimental moments (I’m looking at you “The Closer,” a slowed-down industrial slice similar to Filter). For the fans of “The Model” EP, here’s the second half you were waiting for.
