Review: Fall Silent

Fall Silent
“Drunken Violence”
(Revelation Records)

“There’s a war / and its right outside your window” is the first line on track two, “Flowers for Whore”, which is easily the best song on this album. I’ve actually had this CD for about two months, but haven’t been able to pull it from my stereo. It’s an amazing fucking album, and that’s not just because they perform a cover of “Barracuda”. Slightly higher but mostly mid vocals accompany perfect double bass and very tight guitars, making it obvious on this 12 song release that this band loves flirting in between metal and hardcore. As their second release, I can only imagine that this band brings this essence of furry into their live acts; I’d recommend that if you see them on a bill, it’s worth the flow.
