Like most rappers who had their glory years before most current hip-hop fans could read, Brand Nubian continues to make bystanders go, “please, just retire!” “Fire in the Hole” has its soulful moments where the great Grand Puba, Sadat X, and company can be seen dropping gems of knowledge; but most of this is a straight-up snoozefest. Sadat X needs to drop a solo joint and the rest need to know when enough is enough.
