Review: Arab on Radar

Arab on Radar
“The Stolen Singles”
(Three One G)

A collection of EP, single, demo, comp and split tracks by the late, great Providence, RI. band Arab on Radar.  This takes you all the way from 1995 to 2002.  Listening to these perverse bursts of no wave madness really makes you bummed they called it quits, but thankful they’re all available in one convenient place and you can set the CD player on repeat.  One of the highlight acts of last years stunning “Oops!” tour, Arab on Radar were more than just a band, they were a severe case of physical insanity.  Maybe it’s all just some weird publicity stunt and they’ll get back together.  We can only hope and pray.  Another fine release by San Diego’s own Three One G records.
