Review: A.M. Vibe

A.M. Vibe
“Self Titled”
(Silvergirl Records)

Power-chord driven rock music with nothing too noticeable or out of the norm. I guess when it really comes down to it, this band has an A.M. vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not knocking them and I’m sure they are a wonderful band to have in the Solana Beach scene, but they are not a life changing experience. A couple of the tracks are noteworthy, such as “hyde park” and “light blue”, but for the most part this album was in one ear and out the other.

It would be my recommendation that if this band wants to take it to the next level that they need to speed up their songs, get another guitarist (you need more than just rhythm all the time) and possibly consider using vocal harmonies. As a three piece rock group a.m. vibe is doing their thing, nothing too flash and nothing to crazy.
