The Addicts are as heinous as they are seminal; combining the snotty street sound of Stiff Little Fingers and Television with a logo that still turns heads nearly thirty years after their formation. “Made in England” is made up of the favorites from The Addicts’ first four offerings: “Smart Alex”, “This is Your Life”, “The Sound of Music” and “Songs of Praise”. At a whopping twenty-five tracks, “England” is a crusty mess of sound, with plenty of tracks that will have you stretching for the skip button with regularity. However, with cuts like “Viva La Revolution” and “Organized Confusion”, The Addicts still show why they’ve had the longevity that they have.
