Voodoo Glow Skulls ala 311/ Rancid. Cool.  A high-energy musical quest accompanied by a catchy horn section, heavy guitar tracks, walking bass lines and punk drum beats.  Everything’s there except lyrics. The lead vocals are good but the hooks just aren’’t there.  Well produced, well maintained and well performed.  A possible must hear for punk/ska fans everywhere.  I’m sure the Spitvalves would be a much better live band then what’s on the disc (most ska bands are) but it’s so close to being there that I let others check out the disc and they all agreed. The band’s got to write some new lyrics and hammer out some catchy riffs if they want succeed in the over-populated world of punk/ska acts.
