Sick on the Bus
““Set Fire to Someone in Authority””
(Go-Kart Records)

I’’ve personally never set fire to anyone-either an authority figure or otherwise.  My two younger brothers did once shoot a smoke bomb out of a water balloon launcher that pretty much incinerated an acre of my parent’s property.  Sick on the Bus rules because they just yell and scream and play old school punk without a care in the world.  Obviously heavily influenced by old school Stiff Little Fingers and Rancid, SOTB play their three chords with all the gusto they can muster.  Lots of thrashy, 1:30 second songs about SD and R&R-that’s sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll.  You wanna know what else is great about Sick on the Bus?  After the printed lyrics on the inside of the jacket liner, vocalist Biff Smith explains what he was thinking when he wrote each song.  For example, after the spastic tune “Law and Order”, Biff writes: “I wrote this song when I was 16 because I hated the pigs for pushing me around.  Still do, bastards!” Preach on, Brother.
