Too burnt out from a hard day at work to mosey down to the nearest graveyard for that virgin sacrifice all your Satan buddies have been talking about for weeks? No probs, just chuck on this disc by Xasthur. First track is just under four minutes of ominous synths and enough to get you yet one step closer to Beezlebub. Things don’t fair well after that though, as the next nine tracks sound like a recording of a gang rape in a wind-tunnel. And if it’s not your buddies from the graveyard doing the giving, then it’s them who’ve been receiving. A mess of treble, stupidity, boredom, depravity, perversity, and hilarity. Doesn’’t make for easy listening, that’s for damn sure.
