The Moto-Litas have a catchy feel to their edgy, garage-inspired rockers that cannot be denied. This is RIYL The Runaways and the 5,6,7,8’s. The edge delivered by the biting guitar rhythms in the band’s two-guitar front has one foot in the garage revival and the other in ’70s rock. (The ’70s rock feel is reinforced with the occasional appearance of prominent bass, but fortunately there are not cowbells.) This hard rock delivery juxtaposes nicely when the vocals are sweet and nice (“Un Solo Filo”) and sometimes the vocals soar with and above the rock sounds.
