Review: Sugarcult

Sugarcult delivers a strong sophomore set with “Palm Trees and Power Lines,” a perfect name for the duality of hard and soft tunes assembled from the collective emotions of this So-Cal 4 some.

Distingushing a band as a quintessential act in any music genre is a hard call to make, but when such strong sentiments are harmonized into a raw, artistic rock and roll sound, it’s easy to validate such a bold statement.

Sugarcult keeps it sweet with some dreamy lyrics for the younger fans, while touching on a hard edge for the older listeners who don’t consider themselves in the same category as their younger teeny-bopper counterparts.
