Review: The Librarians

The Librarians
““The Pathetic Aesthetic””
(Pandacide)

Sick as hell of pop-punk but still have a taste for infectious, good-time melodies and hyperactive playing?  Then thank God for the Librarians.  Enough smart stuff and informed reverence for the history of pop to earn the respect of the Robert Pollaroids and enough shamelessly catchy swagger in their tunes to capture the attention of your average Weezerite.  These boys from the Bay area could blow up huge if they put as much into touring as they do into rocking out like the missing Dan Treacy’s alter-ego on amphetamines trapped in a practice space with the angel of Kurt Corbain.
