Review: The Judas Cradle

The Judas Cradle
“Where Child Actors Go To Die”
(Indianola Records)

I haven’t heard this much double bass since the fast part on Metallica “One”.  “Where Child Actors Go To Die” is what you would assume to hear from most grind/hardcore bands.  The vocals sound like zombie death shrieks from an old “Dawn of the Dead” or “Evil Dead” movie.  There are abundances of chug-chug guitar rhythms, and of course the obligitory blast beat.  Lyrical highlights include, “You’re times run out, BLEED!”, and “taste my tears and tell them one more time this is destiny”

The Judas Cradle are all technically apt and present the listener with five solid musical contributions worthy of a hardcore fans collection. I mean, it can’t be that easy to growl like some nocturnal carnage whore for the duration of a set.  Aaaahhhhhrrrrrggggg!!!
