In The Nursery is known for sweeping, cinematic electronic compositions. Indeed, the band’s next project is to score the avant-garde 1937 Japanese silent film A Page of Madness. This album is somewhat of a departure. Such tracks as “Memento” and “Error Theory” largely fit with what we expect from In The Nursery.

Many of the tracks, though, feature prominent dance beats and pronounced typified violin flourishes for some ostentatious pop. Four of the tracks feature Dolores Marguerite C, the frequent mezzo vocalist for the Humberstone brothers. This is a good album. The group seems to enjoy itself being less cerebral and creating a sophisticated, soulful dance-pop album.
