Finally an indy band with some real fucking potential. Headfirst are heavy on the rock and they do it with conviction. “It’s Getting Better” sounds good and the songs are well written with some great hooks. ‘Close Your Eyes’ has a great hook and even better solo in the middle. The melodic rock put forth by these guys is reminiscent of quite a few modern day giants, Headfirst are somewhere in the middle of a band like Papa Roach (minus the rapping) and the dynamics of a band like Finch. With a little bit of work on their songs this band could go quite far.
