Galore
““Parader””
(Fading Ways Music)

Galore’’s “”Parader”” is an interesting throwback to the lost days of classic and glam rock.  But unlike the Darkness’ winking, tongue in cheek odes to arena rock and 80’s metal, Galore is 100% serious.  These Canadians harness the spirits of T. Rex and Lynard Skynard together on the opener, “Little Hit Parader.”  Singer Barry Francis Walsh comes off as a young Tom Petty with a little more attitude and vocal range on tracks like “Sing Along with Someone” to pull off some pretty pleasant surprises.  I had my doubts at first, but this album is pretty good.  It’s at least refreshing to hear an album so strongly influenced by classic rock being so sincere.
