Boyskout
““School of Etiquette””
(Alive)

A somewhat synthesized style converges with girly appeal, creating a dark union of emotive outcries driven by pounding rhythmic palpitations.  Boyskout is reminiscent of Russian performers T.A.T.U., the all-girl group that created a stir at the MTV Video Awards with their affectionate lesbian ways.  Not only because track 12 is called, “Girl on Girl Action,” but also because they’re a cute little foursome with short hair and a pension for getting a rise out of their listeners. “Circus Song” is their most extreme tune, emanating a creepy vibe perfect for descending deep into the depths of depression.  Overall, the pop-inspired attitude resonates clear, while the electronica flair enhances the mood and keeps the bubble-gum bullshit to a minimum.
