Would “Blade Runner” have been a better film had it been created now as opposed to during the heart of the worst period of music known to man? Imagine that movie with a soundtrack compiling Night Wounds, Silver Daggers, Shearing Pinx, AIDS Wolf or any of their noise punk peers. Any of those bands could have added disturbing qualities to the film in ways only antagonistic experimental punk can. Abandoning “song” even more than early progenitors like Arab on Radar or U.S. Maple, Night Wounds dabble in noise jamming rather than talentless noise for noise’s sake. “Allergic To Heat” journeys deep into a darkness few care to imagine.
