It’s the moment in-between the hit and the exhale.  The dreamtime when the smile crawls across the face and the eyes roll back into the skull, welcoming the warm slide down.  The Jesus & Mary Chain knew this, as did My Bloody Valentine and Ride.  Dreamy, space pop with molasses in slow winter tempos, lush distortions and vocals gliding along the updrafts.  The lack of bass gives the keyboards room to lay down this thick carpet that the guitars weave themselves into until the whole thing is one intertwined, vibrating melody. A brilliant progression on a perhaps familiar sound, being cast out in further strides of innovation.
