Stationary Odyssey “My Baby Is Black”
Location: Evansville, Indiana
Latest Release: “Head! Foot! And the Pink Axe” (Joyful Noise)

Home Alone: Stationary Odyssey began as a home recording project and had no intentions of releasing their material until Boyarm Records heard about them and released their debut.
The brainchild of Aaron Tanner, Stationary Odyssey take their knack for avant garde druthers and merge it with a moody instrumental hybrid of syrupy psychedelic rhythms, elastic riffs, and moody retro film score like infusions. Deep and ambient enough for those liking a good sonic chill, and gritty enough to appeal to the fans of Isis and Red Sparrows, Stationary Odyssey will have the critics pulling the term post rock out of their asses but their signature sound is so ahead of it’s time that it’s more like post post rock.
